About MCDB 198 ABCD
Honors Research in Molecular, Cell, and
Developmental Biology
Students Must
- be majors in Molecular, Cell, & Developmental Biology.
- be either juniors or seniors with overall GPA of 3.0 or better, and 3.5 or better GPA in the major coursework by the time of application.
- have successfully completed MCDB 104. (Remember it can take a quarter or two to get into 104; therefore, if you do not begin trying to get into MCDB 104 until the Spring Quarter before your research year, you may have a problem!).
- read and follow the guidelines for MCDB 198. For any questions, consult the MCDB Student Affairs Office (LS 2128), where a full packet of guidelines and forms is available.
- not be working for pay in the sponsor's lab at the same time they are enrolled for academic credit in MCDB 198 courses.
- Students may not enroll in a 198 course if they have outstanding Incompletes in a previous 190 A-B, 199, or 199A-B.
- Transfer students may not enroll during their first quarter at UCLA.
