"GLP-1 Analogs and the Next Generation: Promise, Risk, and the Unknown"

Talk Description: Glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonists, commonly known as medications such as Ozempic and Wegovy, have transformed the landscape of obesity treatment over the past decade, with usage increasing by nearly 400%. Despite their widespread adoption, the effects of these medications on male and female reproductive potential remain largely unknown. Furthermore, the potential impact of parental GLP-1 receptor agonist use on offspring and future generations has yet to be fully understood. We will review the available literature and discuss ongoing trials.
